This series began with a catalogue. When a friend found a vintage binder of industrial toilets and bathroom fixtures, she was certain it needed to be collaged. I selected some pages and used them to prompt a fairly silly series of handcut collages. While they are whimsical, I find myself sobered by the images of animals attempting to make use of human "ingenuity". It makes me wonder how clever we actually are.
